The Target in Boise had the toothpaste for $3.98. I didn’t get the $0.44 deal after using both coupons. Can Target prices vary by that much state to state?

Shockingly yes! I saw a study on the news in Phx, Arizona a few years ago and they did a study on stores like Target and Walmart around the Valley. One example they used was Tide laundry soap. They checked our several different stores and found that the price could vary from as much as $2-$3. These were all stores that were probably a half an hour from each other. Prices are sometimes based on the community they are in as well as the competing stores in that area. I know it does seem strange and kind of unbelievable. I remember being shocked when I first saw the story on the news.
